This is a new dress on Kate — it’s this Diane von Furstenberg — and I am beginning to think she feels about black/navy lace evening gowns the way we both feel about sailor-striped shirts: That they’re IRRESISTIBLE. Because this new dress reminds me a wee bit of this old dress (although not as much in actual fact as in my memory). That’s not a complaint. While no black evening gown will ever reach the heights of THIS black evening gown, we are in a different time (and she is in a temporarily different body) and I think she looks great in this. I also know a lot of you are very pleased about the up-do, and frankly, so am I. Let’s examine all of this far more closely.
