We’re back! I went in to write this post with the expectation that it would take forever, since the last time I did it was December 18th and it’s always fat after the holidays. But no — of course, the pandemic has absolutely curtailed royal engagements and so we’re easing back into this.

If you missed it over the break, I rounded up Royal Christmas Walks of Yore.

Lots of stuff for you to read elsewhere, though:

Prince Albert called up People to complain about Trump. (He’s ALWAYS hated Trump, which is one of the things I like most about him.)

This was a very interesting piece at Bitch about The Crown: “The Crown” Dresses Up Brutal Colonialism

This is a pretty interesting interview: Princess Märtha Louise says she was a problem from the moment she was born because females couldn’t inherit the throne [Insider]

At People: Queen’s Staffer Jailed After Stealing Items from Buckingham Palace and Selling Them on eBay.

At NL Times: Confidence in Dutch king falls below 50% after 2020 Covid gaffes

BBC reports on Harry and Meghan’s new podcast, which sounds excellent! (Also, the clip of Archie wishing everyone happy new year is SO. VERY. CUTE.)

Write Royalty’s annual report about royal workloads is out — it was a weird year!

At Vanity Fair:  How Harry and Meghan’s Royal Exit Led to an Unexpected Happy Ending

T&C rounded up a bunch of snaps of Bhutan’s very VERY beautiful royal family.

Also at T&C: Queen Margrethe has gotten the Covid vaccine.

And, on social:
