Let me be frank: 8th grade me would have LOVED THIS DRESS, and 28 year old me would have worn this dress (if she could have afforded Oscar de la Renta), and 42 year old me would pull it off the rack, look at it, sigh, put it back, and then maybe pull it back out again with the realization that I might be too old to wear it now, but I’ll for sure be too old to wear it later, so might as well get it in under the wire. (Although I still can’t afford OdlR and I also don’t have anywhere to go in it.) It’s a little young and maybe a little underbaked — I saw over at TLo that they thought it felt unfinished and I don’t totally disagree — but aren’t we all a little underbaked at the moment?
