This could have been interesting, maybe.
But somewhere en route to “avant garde,” it veered wildly left into “Barbie breastplate held hostage while fangs made of sunshine taunt her groin.” Which sounds like one of those damnably thorny Times UK cryptic crossword clues, with the solution being something like “marshmallow” for absolutely no sensible reason except to the cranial maze of the author. Here’s hoping at least Diane’s cranial maze made sense of this dress, or else what was the point?
