I need those shoes!
I love the last outfit! Those shoes are awesome, and she is totally working the white dress.
I really don’t like the first look. The dress is cute enough, but something about the cut makes it look too small, even though I don’t think it is. And those SHOES! Blech. They totally ruin it.
I like that rose ombre whatever-you-want-to-call-it dress. I think it’s gorgeous and fits beautifully. Maybe a tea-length or knee-length hem though? I agree the hair could be less sleek, but an updo would send the dress straight into prom territory, so I’d leave it down.
I agree, definitely make the ombre dress cocktail length and you’re in business!
The dress was tea-length on the model, unfortunately JLaw here is shorter than whoever was wearing it on the runway. Yeah, it is the rare dress that actually looks better hitting at the ankle.
I unreservedly LOVE that tie-dye dress and the styling too.
I enjoy her look as a blond a little more, the dark hair seems to overpower her face.
Please excuse my age and Britishness, but she’s the spitting image of Cheryl Baker from Bucks Fizz so every time I see her I expect someone to whisk her skirt off while singing ‘Making Your Mind Up”. And that is not a good memory.
Her bangs. I want someone (her stylist, her mother) to either cut them or pin them back, because they look like sad wallflowers by the side of her face. She’s too pretty to have bad bangs!
I don’t even like shoes and I want those.
I must confess — for some reason, I’ve got nothing but love for this girl. I think I read the Rolling Stone interview with her and just decided to adopt her. Sure her fashion sense is very extra base hit or foul ball (not too many true swings and misses), but I honestly can’t muster up the snark. I can’t find much to recommend the first outfit, but look at that adorable mug! The second outfit contains things I should not like…the sci-fi print, the cap sleeve, and yet, I’m ok with it! The fourth outfit is totally solid! The third outfit, I will pretend does not exist but I will note it super reminds me of that awful pop-goth musical time period that was happening in the early 2000s, I think.
The Rolling Stone interview was great. I loved how she calls Lenny Kravitz Mr. Kravitz because he’s her friend’s dad.
Jezuz H. Christ I am officially older than Methuselah.
I think Miss Thang here wears too much makeup, and is cruel to her own natural waistline.
Ech, I can’t wait for these artificially high waistlines to go out of style. I don’t know who they are supposed to look good on, but it ain’t girls with a rack, as both she and Hendricks illustrated today.
@ witjunkie, I couldn’t agree more. The recent trend of waistlines just above the natural waist (but not as high as empire) must end. It’s awkward, clumsy, and I’ve seen it flatter no one. I don’t even understand the idea behind it. Like, why??
She should never, ever have her hair that straight and flat. Unless she has proper bangs or something. She looks so much better with some volume in her hair it’s kind of unreal.
This exactly. She used to have the best red carpet hair (hello Oscars 2011?) and ever since The Hunger Games it has been SO BAD. The black dress hair is ALMOST back to that level.
And by black I mean white. It’s Monday!
Those shoes are totally Capitol, yet totally awesome. And I like the tie-dye dress – there’s not a fug in any of these photos.
I really love the second dress with the cobblestone-y motif. What a fabulous fit!
I do not like the pin straight hair, it’s very flat and blech. It’s hard getting used to her dark hair again.
The white dress is cute on her and the SHOES!!! The rest are meh….
i love that dip dyed dress and the AND the smashed flat hair. Love. I think she looks great. Also, I dig that color lippy on her.
I think The Lawrence is my new celebrity girl crush. She just seems so awesomely normal in interviews and she has one of the best bods in Hollywood right now.
I can’t believe I just used the word “bods”. Twice.
I like her new hair color, but to me it really emphasizes how young she looks. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just that my reaction was “She’s how old, again?”
I totally forgot that Catching Fire is getting ready to film! Yay! I’ve been largely happy with the casting news. (Jeffrey Wright? Sign. Me. Up. He’s amazing.)
I don’t mind the dark color (and I loved how, when she heard that people were all “What about her haaaaaaaaaaair?” when she was cast as Katniss, she was like “Y’all know dye exists, right?”) but her hair is too flat. She has really nice hair – her Oscars hair was so full of body, and there’s that photo where it’s blowing in the breeze and she’s in that red and white printed dress and big sunglasses. But this limp hair is not the business.
Love the white dress. I think a red lip would have really finished it off nicely. And the shoes are bomb.
Please, oh please, find those shoes for your devoted readers and share!
I’ve decided to score an automatic win for any garment that isn’t transparent. How low our standards have sunk.
I really like the first one but I wish she had done something with her hair.
Would anyone else like to get on board with suggesting she should have gone with an Uma Thurman circa Pulp Fiction bob wig for the ombre dress? I think it would have been completely awesome, and she also could have done the twist some excellent justice with that skirt.
I was at the press conference where she’s wearing the white dress but didn’t get a look at the shoes – damn! They are awesome.
This chick just seems so refreshingly normal – she was all “I get paid whether it’s a good script or a bad one” – and while she clearly hasn’t figured out her style yet, I like that she takes risks. We haven’t seen her in the standard nude sparkly cocktail dress much. I think she needs to keep things simple & sleek – show off that bod and let the accessories make the statements. I think she’s going to be one of those who really ages into her look, because she’s too young to wear a lot of stuff that would really look good on her, while the frilly stuff they put ingenues in don’t suit her at all.
Is it just me or does her hair this time around look a lot more box-home-color and too dark. It was a lighter brown last time with some auburn tones that were more flattering to her skin tone.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think Jennifer Lawrence should be brunette all the time. It’s so flattering on her skin tone and brings out her eyes.
I also prefer her as a brunette. The blonde does nothing for me.
FAB! I like 2nd outfit, but LOVE the 2nd & 3rd outfits! Those dresses are PRETTY & SEXY! I also love her hair & makeup! And, THE SHOES are HEAVEN!!! WANT!
Love the 3rd & 4th outfits…Sorry!
I like everything she’s wearing apart from the blue dress. For some reason, the way the skirt lies says bike shorts to me (not a good look). I really like her sleek hair with the ombre dress – I think the style really goes with the outfit.
The shoes in the last pic are fierce, but too big for her!
I’m very jealous of how pretty her feet look. Seriously, who has feet that pretty? And I’m assuming they weren’t airbrushed like a foot model would be. I love the brunette on her when she wears it more relaxed and I think she’s smart to avoid heavy lipstick. She has pretty lips, but too much lipstick (see Goth picture) makes them look hard and unsoft.
That said, I love her Goth dress if not the styling. I love purple. And I give her props for going for a finished look, even if it didn’t really work. She certainly doesn’t look the same in every picture which I think is a bonus in a young actress, if she wishes to be an actress and not just a celebrity.
At least her bangs aren’t parted in the middle and slicked to her temples like she is wont to rock from time to time. Her hairs looks nice and washed and brushed. Such a lovely girl to let bad bangs happen to.
Am I the only one who didn’t even recognize her in photo 2?? What is going on with her face?
When I saw the white dress, all I saw were the shoes. Then YAY the last slide came with a close up of said shoes. Thank you for being my Miss Cleo, Jessica.
