In which a gala is attended, and also we get to see what’s under Kate’s coat for once. (You probably want to actually SEE the coat, if you haven’t; check out today’s first W&K post for coatyness.) The Gala Gown is Jenny Packham, and it’s a rewear — we’ve seen it here, AND then also here, — but those earrings are new and they are….major. (They’re not part of the royal jewel collection, they’re apparently, per the DMIK, “a private gift,” which I have decided means they’re from William.) Everyone who’s ever asked her to wear her hair up with this dress, should feel pleased, as you are VINDICATED. I think this is the best this dress has ever looked.
(This is their final event in New York, but I’ll be bringing you some bits and bobs tomorrow to wrap-up. I’m always sad when these things end. We have so much fun.)
