There was much pushback on the new Nike tennis dresses, to the point where they even offered the female players an alternative after the first day or two of the tournament — which some claim is an unprecedented backpedaling. Let’s dive into it ,and some of the other stuff worn on the courts during the first week of my very favorite tournament. I know the monochromatic dress code makes Wimbledon less sartorially energetic than the others, but what it lacks in the color wheel, it makes up for in aura.
