It’s a great time to be a fan of women’s basketball. The league is still relatively small, so it won’t be hard to follow your favorite players from college — plus there’s a new team in California, the Golden State Valkyries. The Washington Mystics had the third, fourth, and sixth picks, all of whom I can’t WAIT to see play together. And we probably will. Lots of these women will see the court, and soon, and not just because we’re on the doorstep of the season starting. I hope they keep harnessing that interest in the women’s game, and that the W explodes. I saw Caitlin Clark play last year against the LA Sparks, and the entire building — Sparks fans included — lost its collective mind when she sank a long-range three. And it was packed. Go to a game, if you can! Great vibes, cheaper tickets, and outstanding ball.
