I wanted to start things off today on the highest of high notes. This dress is magnificent. Resplendent. She is the human embodiment of the experience of hearing an opera singer soar to the top of her range. She is happiness and joy and a dazzling rainbow. It’s more than a gown; it’s a mood. I am never sad that I am not famous, except when I see a dress like this and think, “Oh, to have put that on.” What a thing it must be, even for a moment, to feel like everything.
