NY Fug.com: Red Carpet Reality: Inside the Emmys Hustle

Ready to read about what it was like for us to actually be on the Emmy Red Carpet in Sunday? Now you can — with bonus Arrested Development spoilers (not really, unless you count information about Buster’s socks), and details like so:

The other benefit of being Live on the Red Carpet was seeing celebs getting starstruck. Jeremy Davies of Justified paused mid-interview because he saw Judd Apatow,  genuflected to him, and reached across us to grab Apatow’s arm and proclaim his worship (though he also later bowed to Kathy Griffin, so maybe he’s just really formal right now).

Plus: behind the scenes PR madness! The iron fist of Ellen DeGeneres! The niceness of Martin Freeman! Read all the gory, sweaty details at The Cut.

Two thumbs up. Such a great job capturing the scene. I am now a little curious about what kind of leverage Ellen has–does she have a magical leather-bound tome full of the dark secrets of Hollywood?

Oooh, thanks for the article! I had no idea it was like that. And I’m glad that both Martin Freeman and Tony Hale are so nice and fun in real life. I love them!

Cumberbatch was really cool, too, as was Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Which is not to say the other people weren’t nice — Bill Hader seems super cool — but I feel like with those two, people would want to know.

Great article! And, so nice to hear some of my favorite actors are so friendly!

Seriously, NO ONE wanted to ask GRRM a questions? What is wrong with the world?!

This was very cool. I work on the outskirts of the industry and know some PR people. I need to start poking one for an “internship.”
