Little Miss Fugshine

I am concerned that Abigail Breslin here fell into a deep dark Nashville wormhole — we’ve all been there — and when she crawled out of it, she decided that Scarlett was her spirit animal:

(There could easily be cowboy boots under there.) And while Abigail Breslin probably would have been good in that role, she doesn’t need to try to land a recast IN REAL LIFE.

Looks like she’s fleeing the burning dorm room at 3 am and is wearing the first jacket she could grab in the evacuation. Same hairstyle, even.

The clothes say Scarlett, but the hair says Taylor Momsen.

Oh, GIRL. Do not do that to us. Do not even toy with the idea of doing that to us.

Why are they trying to make her look like a 43-year old divorcee?

Oh, Abigail, why… at least you’re covered and not looking like littlejenny/taylormumsen from the neck down :S

    Those extensions are awful.

There’s something about the proportions of this that makes her look like she has a huge head and is about three feet tall. I think it’s the jacket, which looks like it ends at her hips but actually ends closer to her knees.

Aw she was adorable…what happened? I sincerely hope she’s not an answer to any blind items because she looks totally strung out.

She is so adorable & her eyes are AMAZING… but nothing here does good for her. Everything is wrong wrong wrong! Maybe shorter skirt, no jacket, buckets of hair conditioner & softer makeup?

I had a nightgown very similar to hers!

    Abigail just turned 17.
She’s screaming for attention in a negative way. Somebody stop her, help her.

Looks to me like a Big Love dress with a Good Wife jacket. Clearly the child has excellent taste in television, if not in clothing.

Good God, those are some hideous extensions. At least TRY to blend them with your hair, girl, jeez. And I’m not a fan of blonde on her in the second place.

I’m willing to cut her some slack, just because I remember some of the insane things I wore at 17 when I was trying to figure out what looked good on me. (Not that I’ve managed to do that yet…)

What happened to her? She used to be cute. I stalk my fourteen year old son’s Facebook page (just to make sure he’s behaving) and she looks like every other teenage girl in his news feed. Bleached hair, too much eye makeup, questionable clothing choices.

    I think it’s the eye makeup that’s throwing me…yikes…

    Dear Abigail Breslin,

    Please go back to brunette.

    Thanks

I think “Little Miss Faceshine” is more like it.

    NO.

That seems a little mean. Some adolescents get very oily, and it can be hard to keep up with it. Blotting papers and powder are great, but when you’re Abigail Breslin, you won’t always get a moment to use them right before someone sticks a flash in your face.

I kind of liked seeing one of the more famous teens of our day looking like a normal person in that regard, myself. Might be reassuring to other girls her age who get the same thing.

If I made this comment for a candid shot of her walking around with friends or something, that would be mean. But, she’s not going for a natural look here as evidenced by the 5 inches of eyeliner. She sat down and had her hair and make-up done and I don’t think shiny was the end goal of that time in the chair. If it was, goal achieved.

It just isn’t called for. We’re not here to be mean to little girls.

It is, however, TOTALLY called for to be mean to her OUTFIT. Which roundly deserves it!

My apologies if it was considered too mean. I didn’t think it was out of bounds. I think she’s talented and normally very lovely.
