Fugs and Fabs: Elizabeth Olsen and Dakota Fanning

I hope these two are doing a buddy comedy. Because I want to watch it.

Rest assured, Elizabeth Olsen was *really* good in Liberal Arts (totally recommend, btw). Those two should definitely be friends.

I was just going to say the same thing. She’s very endearing in that movie.

  2. cathy

    cute girls and wonderful actresses

  3. Popcouver

I covet Elizabeth’s hair no matter what color or length it is. I am excited for their movie! Sounds strange but kind of great.

Elizabeth was the best part of “Liberal Arts” – I had high hopes for it because I loved Joshua Radnor’s first move, “happythankyoumoreplease” buuuuut it was disappointing for me.

I confess at first I thought Elizabeth was actually Mary-Kate. I know noone is really the picture of health in the dead of January, but … I really hope we don’t see her unwell.

  5. Lizzy

Elizabeth Olsen’s first outfit reminds me of one of Hugh Grant’s faux 80′s rocker outfits in “Music & Lyrics.” She looks cute in it, though.

I hate to admit it, but I love that fake video – it’s so perfectly 80s.

  6. ProudMary

you should see “Martha Marcy May Marlene”, it’s kind of a strange movie but she is very good and you will like her no less.

  7. Mrs. Ditter

So is it just me, or are they posing in the same conjoined at the hip/facing inward manner that Ms. Olson’s older sisters employ?

  8. Alicia

I keep thinking of Elizabeth as the big tall Olsen, and Dakota as the petite Fanning, and seeing them side by side is totally throwing that off. Is Dakota really tall?

  9. WhooflPomp

Elizabeth Olsen’s face scares the hell out of me.

    • WhooflPomp

In fact, ALL Olsen’s faces scare the hell out of me. I can no longer look at Superman comics.

    • thunderthighs

It looks like a really tragic nose job to me that she got too young. I can’t be the only one who believes that.

  10. Carol

I’m scared because Elizabeth and Dakota are striking poses like the older Olsen twins … that is terrifying.

  11. Helen

I like all of these outfits! And Elizabeth was amazing in Martha Marcy May Marlene.

  12. Orange Clouds

Love Elizabeth Olsen but still have flashbacks of a hideous jumper she was wearing during the Red Lights promotion (and Cillian Murphy next to her isn’t helping with his outfit):

  13. Kris M

I think the appeal of Elizabeth Olsen is that she looks like MK/Ashley if they stopped being so strange.

  14. Sarah

They went to high school together!

  15. Ronni

You have to at least watch a YouTube video with Olsen. She reminds me so much of Angelina Jolie. And I know that sounds strange, but trust me.

  16. anny

Part of the creepinessfor me is that Dakota has a weird smirk in the twosome poses, while Elizabeth has a bit of the z

    • anny

UGH, darn editor defaults – while Elizabeth has a rather wide-eyed vulnerable look.
      Your mileage may vary.

  17. Anita

They actually are doing a movie (I think it’s a buddy comedy as well) together, Very Good Girls.

  18. Anita

    Woops it’s a drama.

  19. Nancy

They both look great. I hope they’re besties.

Why is it that men never pose in that lesbian-ish cheek-smush pose? Just sayin’…

(BTW, it’s totally weirder when MK and A Olsen do it, cuz, you know…)

  20. Sajorina

Love them! I’ll watch anything they are in together, especially if they’re besties! And, I like the outfits as well!

  21. deee

LL Bean boots are hipster? I never knew.

  22. ErinE

Are they in a movie together? or are they just friends?

    • Anna

This is in Sundance where they were promoting a movie they did together called “Very Good Girls”.
I think Elizabeth is super cute. Love the leather pants. And she was great in “Martha Marcy May Marlene”.

  23. Vandalfan

Fanning needs to get the number of Olsen’s hairdresser.

  24. ccm800

Can Olsen’s just not stand unassisted? Why must they always cling like one of those clampy little lapel/backpack/purse strap monkey, bear, cat, lion (or other) furry little clamp-on animal thingies from the early eighties?
