But you guys! Imagine it with a solid color dress! It would be so nifty!
LOVE the red Prabal Gurung dress (#11). Such a gorgeous color and drape.
The toga-ish white one before it looks straight out of HBO’s Rome wardrobe. Fun!
Yes. 11 was the standout for me. Lovely.
I love the first slide. It’s not wearable at all by any ordinary mortal, but it encapsulates what fashion is for me. Sweeping Drama and Chaps.
Huh, turns out that nude lipstick ISN’T the worst thing that ever happened to somebody’s face. Or are they just hypothermic because of the clothes they’re wearing in the midst of the big snow dump?
#14 in black, with a higher slit and the Window Longoria is on it.
As is, Halle Berry. It has the requisite skin showing.
Dang, #1, talk about not knowing how to go pee in that thing.
And that black RL coat with the shearling collar? That makes my heart squeeze. So gorgeous.
I see Anne Hathaway in #17, the UES old-lady one. The model even has her snooty expression, all ready to go.
When I laugh at the thumbnail in my RSS reader, I know I’m going to enjoy the slideshow. Pure comedy.
I can see Anna Wintour adapting #7 as a Darth Vader costume.
The only thing missing from the first four slides are Lucy and Ethel in their “Parisian couture” potato sack dresses with water bucket hats.
If the see-through coat is going to be made of the lace-patterned plastic from the shower curtains of the mobile home I lived in in the early eighties, CLOSE THE WINDOW.
It might have been good if threeASFOUR had made it. Oh, I am swooning at everything from that… must go look at the rest of the collection.
I am not wild about the see through coat in this slideshow (lace print, ack), but the one in the previous slideshow, by the Blonds? Hells yeah.
That thing is gorgeous.
Cher Horowitz wore a see-through coat, which means I am on board FOREVER.
The transparent coats remind me of the stripper replicant in Blade Runner.
How did I not know about threeasFOUR before?? They are awesome. Also, that first outfit is very David Bowie circa 1970s.
And I would totally wear the transparent coat. Because if I was wearing that, obviously I would have a cool enough wardrobe to actually show off underneath it.
a transparent coat would not be very warm. (unless it’s plastic?)
so people who live in warm places like LA might need a transparent coat!
The transparent coat is Slide #27 (not #20) and I wouldn’t wear it because it would defeat the purpose of keeping me warm if the fabric is light enough to be see-through! I love #13 & #22… I want to own & wear them soooooo badly! COVET!
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw that first pic was: Milla Jovovich, Resident Evil. It’s cool and crazy. I love it.
And do you really want to see a better pic of the red dress in slide 30? ‘Cause it’s really disappointing.
Wow, the bottom front of that red “dress” is a surprise, isn’t it. Definitely a “turn around” fug.
I’m actually really very sad that the poll didn’t include a response that had some sort of Blade Runner reference . . . as that is the only time one should wear a transparent coat.
Many amazing looks in this slideshow.
