Just Fug With It.

I was going to put this up to a vote, but I talked myself out of it:

She is adorable. I found her surprisingly charming in Just Go With It, which is a terrible movie even when you’re watching it against your will on a plane. But this looks like two nightgowns held together with painter’s tape and decorated with same. In fact, the whole thing is remarkably tape-y, given that I think those shoes might be part duct. So while I’d love to give her props for some adorable DIY-style wardrobe updating, and while I also believe duct tape truly does solve everything, tape should really only be used on clothes to take off lint. Okay, and to sometimes hold down the hem of my skirt. But that’s it, I swear.

Isn’t this is a version of a dress we’ve seen before? I think there was a Freak Fug Friday about? It reminded me of (and still does) the bee costume the little girl wore in Blind Melon’s No Rain video. Only now it’s sexifed. Or it’s the bee’s night gown.

Also, I LOVE Just Go With It. I watch it every time if comes on. Tim Gunn would comment on my taste level but Im good with it.

I literally just finished sneakily taping my pants’ hem up with duct tape because I forgot my new pants were too long when I left this morning. I love how big my reception desk is, I can hide all sorts of useful things back here – a stash of duct tape, a novel, a pair of flats for when my heels start to hurt, bus passes, a container with tampons & liners, I even have a change of clothes! Never hurts to be prepared. Oh Girl Scouts. You taught me so well.

You forgot “and to keep sneaky nipples from peeking out of down-to-there necklines”.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t hate it… I think SHE’S working it, anyway. She looks soft and sweet, which she doesn’t always.

You know, I actually don’t think this is all that bad. I’d like it more if the hem wasn’t so raggedy but otherwise, I think she’s kinda pulling it off. I wish she hadn’t worn those shoes with it though–they’re a bit stumpifying. Her hair looks adorable, by the way.

I think it’s fun and different in a good way … only off note is the purse … she should have had an equally fun bag, not the quilted/Chanel/chain look

I’m seeing more crepe paper streamers than painter’s tape. Kind of like she’s in a swimsuit cover, decorating the gym for the sock hop. I think the epaulettes are what tore the rag off the bush for me.

This is pretty half-@ssed and she knows it. Who blings up her nightie with duct tape?

Great beach wear! I imagine she’s wearing this somewhere actually warm?

It’s cute enough for the beach, but it does look a bit raveled here and there (like the hem and the shoulders).

Also: I find staples often hang better than tape. (For hems, of course, not necklines. Ow.)

I…sort of like this? I like the colors and something about the idea, anyway. I agree the actual garment is jankified.

Cute nightgown… I’d happily wear it to bed! The shoes are FUGLY… How about a pair of fuzzy slippers? Love the purse, though!
