I think I like this in concept more than I do in execution:
Listen, I LOVE a sassy colorful day dress. I love them. I am obsessed with them, and that is as a woman who hardly ever really leaves the house. So I am all about this if we’re speaking theoretically. But in real life, I think it feels a little girlish and twee for Lupita, who always — to me — seems elegant and adult. On Kiernan Shipka (or even someone like Zooey Deschanel, whose entire MO is based on girlishness), I think this is a keeper. On someone as composed and unfussy as Lupita comes off, it feels…well, fussy and uncomposed.
