Fug the Show: Carrie Diaries, episode 4

In which we’re treated to the obligatory “Prince Charles and Princess Diana are FOR REAL!” jokes. Props to AnnaSophia Robb for making it through an entire episode in her Lady Di wig, and looking more credible in it than Naomi Watts has in ANY of the candids from that movie she shot.

Where are the pics? They are the best part! I don’t actually watch this show, but I love your recaps.

So sorry — we are on the road and so we didn’t know it wasn’t working. It’s fixed now!

I just kept wondering how her (cute) pea coat fit over those Lady Di sleeves! This probably shouldn’t be my concern.

I kept wondering — and forgot to include — how her dress had NARY A DIRT STAIN anywhere on the skirt, despite being at a “big” party and traipsing around city pavements and in and out of cabs.

The thing that I loved about this episode was that two of the EXACT Halloween decorations we had at our house growing up (mass-marketed cardboard cut-out things – one was a cat and the other was a moon or something) were on doors in this episode. The clothes aren’t remotely period, but the props are spot on.
