I have such a soft spot for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It’s from a perfect period where Jason Segel was at his most shlubby-charming (I include How I Met Your Mother and The Muppets in this), Mila Kunis was revealing herself as a completely charming movie presence, Russell Brand and Jonah Hill and Kristen Bell all felt so fresh, we were remembering to fall back in love with Paul Rudd… it was a good time, and I am always excited when it turns up on cable, because, yes, I have not cut the cord and I am still a person who likes to stumble upon a treat rather than just look up where it’s streaming. Shrug.
