Kimberly Kardashian brought her daughter North to the shows, and also walked in Balenciaga — which drew the starriest front row so far. It’s interesting: A few years ago, people didn’t discuss Balenciaga much. Other than the occasional spandex bootaloon on Salma Hayek, it felt like a past-it brand. But then Demna threw his lot in with Kim, she started sauntering around town in full-body stretch gear, and suddenly the brand has buzz and presence and Tracee Ellis Ross in the front row and Nicole Kidman on the catwalk. I’m not saying that’s all Kim’s doing, but her influence in this regard — like it or not — is pretty undeniable.
