The New York Times raved about this collection, but also said everyone in attendance — including them — received it with a shrug: “But right, it turns out, is actually not right for right now. What’s needed is wrong. What’s needed is some mess, some sense of movement, experimentation and challenge to the status quo. Action.” Really? Did you SEE the bullshit some folks were wearing in the front row? This dude finally shrugs off the albatross that was Demna’s legacy and it’s suddenly TOO accomplished and nice? These aren’t perfect, but I’d rather have dreamy than messy every day.
