It’s been VERY hot in Los Angeles the last month or so but this past weekend, it rained and actually dipped down into the 50s overnight — I briefly turned on the heater to take the edge off when I got up on Tuesday! — and it was totally delightful. It’s going to warm up here again (hopefully temporarily), but there is no denying that we are in, or heading toward…sweater weather. THANK GOD.
Do I technically need any new sweaters? If we’re being scrupulously honest, the answer is no! However…I love to look at them. (I’ve also been looking for an excuse to share these fleeces, which are maybe not literally sweaters but do fulfill a sweater duty and they’re just really cute — a fleece version of the iconic L.L Bean sweater!) There are a TON of great Fair Isle ones available right now, if that’s your jam — including this Christmas-y one that I’ve been eyeballing for weeks now. Basically like every sweater at Boden right now is cute (especially this cardigan) — and they’re also VERY Christmas-y: Exhibit A, Exhibit B, Exhibit C. If you want something FESTIVE but not so Christmas-y, this sweater is a salute to the noble pineapple upside down cake.
Banana Republic has re-issued a sweater that I SWEAR I remember (and also has this delightful fringed number). I have this cashmere turtleneck and it’s REAL nice, and it’s currently on sale! (And the color and price on this one is very good.) This fleece is also SO cute. And I just remembered that Macy’s big fall sale kicks off today — their Charter Club cashmere is marked down. (This wine cardigan in particular is an all-timer. I also like this non-cashmere number and it’s currently under $30.)
