I am beginning to wonder if this press push for the new Sense and Sensibility is low-key dragging it out too much. I realize I pay more attention to these things than most people, but I’ve moved from idly thinking, “oh, a new Austen adaptation, that’s nice. The poster is good. I hope people enjoy this,” to “is Daisy Edgar-Jones really famous enough to carry all this press? Isn’t this a lot for her? I did like her in Twisters but they’re really pushing her here. Does this make sense?” The movie opens on Friday — and here I am, writing about it!! — but it’s a fine line between getting PR and causing people to start thinking too much about your PR. Anyway, her hair is very shiny.
