Cynthia is starring in the film adaptation of Prima Facie, a one-woman stage show about a lawyer who goes from arguing the legal nuances of consent to being on the other side as a victim of rape. I hate how timely this is, and that it always will be. Almost as if to counterbalance the heavy subject matter, Cynthia shines here in yellow; Prada pretty much got it right for her. Especially the back:
I don’t know if the trifeca of black bows – two at the shoulder, one at the neck – quite sings, but I like the simplicity and sexiness of the open back. This is custom work that looks like it, as well it should. And I think we can all agree it’s refreshing to see her on a press tour where she doesn’t feel beholden to a thematic color palette. Adios, Elphaba.
