The look on the left is Hermes; the one on the right is custom work from Prada, which has to be low-key irked that their excellent work is being slightly swallowed up by the red carpet. In both cases, this is a great color on her and it’s fun that she’s leaning into it. She’s promoting Paper Tiger, which IS about the Russian mob, so perhaps it’s a bit thematic. Either way: I weirdly like the Hermes even though I agree with you that the fit in the bodice (which is also how it looked on the runway) is weird and I don’t like the shoes (although the runway styling with those boots would have been extreme for her). The Prada is basically…really good if not a reinvention of the wheel. You cannot get that mad about anything happening here. It’s very classic. It fits extremely well. The color is a banger on her. Everything appears to be in order.
