At last, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to all comers! (I don’t like to promote the sale when it’s only open to card holders.) For a few years, it felt like blogs and influencers were blowing it out on this sale in a way that I think gave readers a little Nordstrom Sale Fatigue — and I get it, some people were making a lot of their affiliate income for the year on the sale; strike while the iron is hot! — but it seems like the situation has normalized. Personally, I’ve always just looked at this sale as a good time for me to stock up on stuff I knew I’d buy anyway — mostly face and beauty and hair stuff. Like, if you use the Kiehl’s Creme des Corps, this is a great deal on it. Or if you’re a person who loves the cult-fave Donna Karan Cashmere Mist deodorant, it is ALSO on sale and that never happens. The classic Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer is on sale — if that’s your facial moisturizer, now is the time! If you’re a Paula’s Choice fan, their BHA exfoliant is on sale. I actually LOVE this Oribe texturizing spray and I am currently out of it, so this is a personal score for me. Etc! (It’s also a reasonable time to stock up on bras and undies. Like I really like these vaguely hideous but VERY comfy True & Co bralettes and might get another one.)
I might also lose my mind and spend a bunch — marked down, but still! — on silk pillowcases because I love the one I have, and they make me feel like a glamorous granny. (I actually will definitely buy some of these very reasonable Regular Pillowcases because I’m trying to change mine every night-ish to help with my mask-acne. GLAMOROUS!) And of course this is always a good time to buy a Fancy Candle. They’re also selling a weighted blanket if, I dunno, you feel stressed for some reason!
