Every time I see Emma Thompson, I wish that she were my next door neighbor. I feel like she’d have plenty of interesting gossip but she wouldn’t be too nosy about what I was up to; she’d surely have great holiday decorations; she’d definitely pick up your mail (though she might mildly read some of it); and she’d invite you to come over and go in the pool whenever you wanted. She’d be a hoot with mostly reasonable boundaries, which is what we all hope for from a neighbor. And you’d definitely see her coming and going in her endless collection of very fun trenches.
