We saw Celine Dion’s covers earlier today, but the Harper’s Bazaar Icons issue never stops at one. This year, there are eight other people on the list with her: skater and gold medalist Alysa Liu, actress Anna Sawai, model/actress/musician Cara Delevingne, actress Charlotte Rampling, comedian Chris Fleming, model Gabbriette, artist Julie Mehretu, and musician Kim Gordon. It’s a very interesting sampling. Fleming, I knew from a variety of clips from his stand-up special that found me on Instagram, and then from one episode of Widow’s Bay where he has some memorable scenes with Matthew Rhys. I was not familiar with Mehretu, whose work is part of the new Obama Presidential Library. This group of people, and add Celine to this, WOULD be a pretty fun table at a party. It’s the kind of stuff Drinks With Broads was born imagining.
