The Haunting of Hill House is a new Netflix show based on a Shirley Jackson story. It’s full of faces you’ll recognize — and one of them, Timothy Hutton, did not come to this event — but Sarah Paulson is not among them. Not that she can’t come anyway, and she IS Ryan Murphy’s favorite, and he (along with Shonda Rhimes) is an anointed one at Netflix. Maybe that’s why she’s there. Or maybe she’s considered one of the First Ladies of Horror thanks to her roles in Murphy’s anthologies, or maybe she just likes to go to stuff. Could be anything. Not that I mind: Who am I to look gift fug in the mouth?
