Taking a break from skincare! I am FOR SURE a creature of habit when it comes to bras, historically my least favorite thing to shop for even with the help of someone who’s sized me (for usefulness, I’m a 32C who used to think she was a 34B). Once I found Gap’s wireless t-shirt bra, I basically just stopped looking elsewhere. I have a bundle of them. They are unsexy, they last a while, they’re comfortable, and best of all they’re frequently on sale. But, I’m always paranoid they’ll stop making them — as it is, I had to scroll way down past the inferior Breathe Wireless Bra (it still finds a way to poke at me!), and for a hot second I thought maybe they’d put all their eggs in that basket.
I’ve been testing out a similar bra by Eby, which is on sale right now with the matching underwear set, and I REALLY like it but it’s a splurge by my Gap standards. Well, not so bad if Gap isn’t on sale, but you feel me. (As a sidebar, though, Eby is currently running a Buy Two Get a Third Free Sale, which is VERY enable-y of them.) I accidentally left my bras at home the last time I visited my sister, so I went to Target and got all excited to find a cheap one also in this vein… and then got rid of it not long after; I got what I paid for. So while I don’t need an entire drawer of expensive bras, it’s nice to have one or two in there, especially if they’ll end up lasting longer (the cheap one certainly didn’t get me anywhere). There’s a similarly priced one on Thirdlove that’s winging its way to me, because Jessica said she really likes her Thirdlove bras (I can never keep Thirdlove and Honeylove straight; she says the former is the ace and the latter did not work for her). [I do love mine! I have this one. The Honeylove is actually fine but I think my issue is that I am a B+ cup so I either rattle around in there, or the bra is too tight; getting to buy a half-size on Thirdlove has helped me a lot. — J]
I do not even own a strapless bra, because I hated them so much back in my twenties. They always ended up down by my ribs. I could definitely use advice on that, too. I would need support, not just something to tamp them down. PLEASE advise.
