As noted in the Elle Fanning post, the InStyle Awards confuse me a little because not all of them have proper titles. They’re honoring creative achievement, which is clear enough, and there’s “Icon” and “The Original” and “Badass Woman,” which, okay. But Michael Kors won for “designer.” It’s true that he is a designer. Is he… the designer of the YEAR? But why? Is it a lifetime achievement award? Why not call it that? I have NOTES. (When do I not?) And speaking of notes: Yes, there’s one more InStyle post, but we’re going to pause for the premiere of King Richard first, so if there’s anyone missing from this… come back at 11 a.m. and hopefully we got them.

The good news is, InStyle brought back the elevator, something they were unable to do for the Golden Globes (as is usual). And one of my favorites is Amanda Gorman, making full use of both actual props and the human prop InStyle provided:
