The shoes. The SHOES. Might as well start there, since they hurt the most. I think we’ve seen them before, and I don’t mind them on their own, but they are totally screaming all over whatever tune this ensemble is trying to hum. The dress has plenty happening! The dress is busy! The dress did not need wingmen! Navy shoes or even red, to match the accent color, would have been much better.
The dress itself has me torn. Generally, I find giant ruffles really unforgiving, but this is pretty good on her. And the pattern is great. She looks like a really sexy bathroom floor. (I promise that’s a compliment.) If only the striped clodhoppers weren’t leaving its rude footprints all over her.
