Happy first day of June! First of all, if you’ve entered any of our recent book giveaways, please give your email a looksee — I’m waiting to hear back from a LOT of winners. I’ll pick new winners next week if I don’t hear back from the original ones, but I don’t want you to miss out!
Speaking of books, we had a great post this week about what everyone is reading, if you need book inspiration!
I also rounded up a bunch of cute floral day dresses, for your perusal.
At Lainey: I think Emma Stone IS dating Justin Theroux.
At Pajiba, speaking of new celeb couples: Strange Bedfellows Alert! Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas Are Reportedly Dating. I can’t wait for Priyanka to tell us how Meghan Markle feels about this.
ALSO related, and not a surprise to those of us who’ve been watching her wardrobe closely of late, at Celebitchy: Diane Kruger & Norman Reedus are expecting their first baby together
At Washington Post: ‘More than ordinary baseball’: The Inspiration for ‘A League of Their Own’ Turns 75. Back in the day, I had a friend who worked for Sony, and they let us check out costumes from their vaults at Halloween — which was A GREAT PERK — and we went as Racine Belles. (Unsurprisingly, the studio wasn’t letting people be Rockford Peaches.) This is absolutely the most successful Halloween costume I’ve EVER had as an adult. Anyway, also that movie is great.
Also at WaPo, this is neat: An illustrated guide to the ‘Hamilton’ stage
At Racked: J.Crew Will Relaunch This Fall. I actually think that the RIGHT NOW J.Crew is a huge improvement over the last couple of years and some of this seems….confusing.
At Atlas Obscura: Meet the ‘Citrus Archaeologist’ Who Rediscovered Dozens of Ancient Plants. Fascinating, with bonus Medici content!
At the New York Times Magazine: The ‘Sex Cult’ That Preached Empowerment
At The Cut, this is fascinating and very well-reported: Maybe She Had So Much Money She Just Lost Track of It: Somebody had to foot the bill for Anna Delvey’s fabulous new life. The city was full of marks.
