Happy Friday! Hope it’s not too hot where you are — we are steaming here in Los Angeles. Last minute edit because I forgot to tell you all this: We (I think) fixed a bunch of our annoying ad-related issues this week, in terms of weird pop-ups and ones that don’t want to close etc etc. Clear your cache if you’re still having issues, and that should help. Additionally: We are making a bunch of long-needed backend improvements (I hope??) over the next month or so that ought to help the site run more smoothly and just be a better reader experience. Thank you for sticking with us for the last 22 years!
At Drinks With Broads this week, we have our first batch of Ted Lasso recaps! We dug into one of my vintage cookbooks, some new Heated Rivalry news, and that September Vogue cover. In yesterday’s issue, we talked about your neighborhood’s Infamous Local, and the best parts of John Oliver on Days of Our Lives.
Here at GFY, I rounded up the best in stripes! Also, we talked about your best unsolicited recommendations, and the one item in your closet for which you reach the most.
This week’s best-sellers? I’m glad you asked! It is a humorous trio. At the top, for the third week in a row (!!) is this amazing Widow’s Bay t-shirt. In second place — I was surprised by this! — was Anthro’s beauty advent calendar. I am impressed by how organized you are! In third, J.Crew’s cupro button-down, which IS really nice. (It runs big!)
Make sure you’re not eating any recalled blueberries.

Of COURSE Goop is hosting an “off the record” (I’m sure) dinner for AI dingdong Sam Altman. EYE ROLL.
I guess Sydney Sweeney is still dating Scooter Braun.

A really good piece celebrating the anniversary of the ADA.
I’ve been rediscovering some of my old favorites, beauty-product-wise, lately. I forgot how much I like the Ole Henriksen Banana eye cream. (I also like this face cleanser from them, which is new, but obviously I am a FOREVER FAN of their lemonade scrub.)
This is a good piece: Antonio Banderas’s Acts of Faith
The Seattle Mariners got SHELLACKED by the Brewers on Wednesday — 22-0!!!! — and the Mariners subreddit responded by turning the subreddit into one devoted to maritime pursuits rather than baseball. It was VERY amusing.

A good list via Reddit — I’m going to check some of these out! Looking for a cookbook I can open at seven with nothing planned and no shopping done

I’ve also been working on trying various hair products, now that my perimenopausal hair has gotten weirdly….weird. My whole life, it was flat and STRAIGHT. Now it’s frizzy and half curly? I don’t know. I don’t have time to learn a whole new way to do my hair! But! This L’ange heat protectant is quite good, and I like this in-shower treatment a lot. (I’m also about to try their humidity protector, given the weather recently.) So is this Chris McMillan one. (That one smells amazing.) (Speaking of Chris McMillan, I also really like his new clarifying shampoo.) I also just remembered that I really like this In Common Magic Myst.

More art crime! Are we living in an art crime, er, renaissance?
Love this print. This dress would work nicely for this period of year when it’s still hot but you at least want a SLIGHTLY autumnal color vibe. (I also want this cardigan with two little sheep on it!)
This seems right: Blue Apron, a meal kit powerhouse once valued at $2B, descends into chaos. (It sounds like things are a MESS OVER THERE. I would be so mad if I opened my meal kit and half of it was missing! That’s the whole point!)
Really good: “Street photographer Ray Di Pietro focuses his work sharply on his adopted hometown of Nashville. With little fanfare, he has attracted tens of thousands of devotees His images are artfully composed, spontaneous, honest, and, well, kind.”
I hope one of you bought this: Edgcote House from Colin Firth’s Pride and Prejudice sold for £52 million.
Oooh, maybe I need a Spicy Celery Margarita.
I KNOW one of you needs to know that Printfresh has a new collection of Gilmore Girls-themed pajamas.
Travel & Leisure has named America’s Best Small Towns of 2026. They all look cute. (I can attest that the one I’ve visited IS really cute although my husband notes that there are some slight geographical liberties taken.)
Heads up that Banana Republic has an extra 20% of their sale stuff right now, but said sale ends today, I think. I have these pants and like them; they do run kinda big, fyi. (Friday.)
