I have a low-to-moderate tolerance for Erdem — I cracked the other day of Kate’s infamous Half Pint hem that “Erdem” is an anagram of merde — but I admit I do find this one oddly captivating.

I don’t know what it is, exactly, that’s hooking me. But even though the shoes are a tad heavy, and the hair tendrils a tad messier than merely tousled, the dress itself keeps me coming back for more looks. Maybe it’s the funky ruffle-folds of the skirt, or the fact that the pattern evokes some antique jewelry that’s been handed down through your family and which your second-cousin would be so angry to know that you secretly have. I AM a sucker for both jewelry and drama.
