It’s time for my annual rant about how we started getting press releases about “last minute” Christmas gifts at our GFY email on like December 1st. It’s not last minute on December 1st! I don’t even think today is “last minute”! “Last minute” are the dudes I used to see wandering the mall on December 23rd with a confuzzled expression, like they’d just been woken from a multi-decade coma. Also: Big respect to you actual Last Minuters out there. I’m impressed by living on the edge. Having said that: I have not finished my own holiday shopping yet and I might be in a mild tizzy this time on Sunday. The best solution for Last Minute Tizzy Shopping is, of course, actually going outside and buying things IRL and just bringing them home with you, but if you prefer that those things just arrive at your home (as I also do!) this week does feel like the last time that you can order something from Amazon and rest fairly assured that it will show up in time. Ergo, I must note that these items ARE sourced from Jeff Bezos and Co. (I try not to shop at Amazon if I can avoid it but there is certainly a time and a place for it.) DOUBLE CHECK THE SHIPPING ESTIMATE, THOUGH! Some of them might be cutting it tighter than you want, and some of them might have changed between when I wrote this post and when you clicked through.
