I know summer’s not technically over, but, as I always put it in my Bestselling Summer Books Deep Dive on Drinks With Broads, American Summer Observed spans from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and Labor Day is this upcoming Monday. (It’s early this year.) I thought it might be fun to eyeball the ten items y’all bought most from our shopping posts this summer. Guess what? They are INCREDIBLY summer-y, lots of linen and stuff to wear on vacation. It’s fun, and I hope you enjoyed them all in good health, sipping a drink with an umbrella in it.
10. This floaty sleeveless linen maxi-dress. This makes sense.
9. This ADORABLE and very low-key linen tank dress. (I still sort of want this. It’s gonna be hot in LA through October!)
8. This extremely cute canvas tote from J.Crew, from the post where I rounded up stuff with fish on it. (If you like this vibe but not the fish, these canvas totes from BaubleBar are really cute. I’ve actually been using one of my old Boat and Totes as a purse all summer and I’ve gotten a LOT of compliments on it, which is nice but also I did not anticipate. I did have it custom embroidered; it says GO DODGERS on it. LL. Bean is already in Labor Day Sale mode, btw. The BnT is not included, but it’s so reasonable to begin with.)
7. These Quince pants, which everyone gave thumbs up to for the plane. (Including me!) I like these a LOT, although I think the Ruti ones are better. The Ruti ones are also much spendier! These are super light though, and you can totally sneak them into the corner of your suitcase.
6. I also love this rainbow beaded bracelet. I’m wearing it now! (Let’s bring back the mid-aughts arm party concept. I also just got this mini evil eye bracelet after I saw a similar one on a friend, and I love it.)
5. A straw tote is a summer classic! That one is currently sold out and probably won’t be back until next summer but J.Crew has a good one still. I like that it’s packable.
4. It’s not a Fug Nation Best Sellers Round-Up without a Breton tee. This IS a nice one; it’s currently on big sale. (J.Crew has already kicked off their big Labor Day sale.)
3. I’m absolutely delighted by how many people bought this gorgeous dress. My size is back in stock and I’m so tempted. I do NOT need another dress, though.
2. Who doesn’t love a gauzy button-up top when it’s hot out? (This is also currently marked down!)
1. Drum roll! This linen shirt dress was the dress of the summer here! I also bought it. I get it!
