This post comes from the depths of my own closet, where I have been studiously cleaning out old tee shirts, leggings, socks, and sports bras. (Why do I have so many sports bras? I feel like I only ever really wear the same three. Congratulate me for finally getting rid of the one that hooked in the front and kept unhooking itself while I was on the treadmill.).

I am not a person who looks particularly put together at the gym and while I do not feel the need to worry about my appearance there very much, I could probably step it up a LITTLE bit. This is not my area of expertise, so I welcome any kinds of recommendations for good work-out wear in the comments! I will say that I really like these Quince leggings, in part because they come in a short inseam and they’re the right length on me. Vuori’s leggings also come in short and I am sorry to report that they are excellent, because they’re not cheap. (They’re also available in long, for the tall among us.) Some of them ARE on sale at Nordstrom right now, though.

I’ve heard very good things about the Old Navy active-wear collection and the price is very right, plus they’re size inclusive. I love these leggings with the stripe down the leg, and these joggers look like they could fill a hole in my wardrobe. (I need what my husband and I call “transitional pants,” i.e., not quite pajamas but not as hard as jeans. I guess the literal word for this is “loungewear,” but since I tend to put them on between jeans and pjs, “transitional pants” it is.) Old Navy’s got a huge sale going, actually — this athletic dress is WAY marked down. (I love looking like I just played tennis although that is generally a lie.)
