I appreciate the dry simplicity of the Wikipedia synopsis of this film: “Two housewives create a $40 million coupon scam.” It’s a perfect elevator pitch, as they say. [This one is longer: “A frustrated suburban housewife and her best friend hatch an illegal coupon-club scheme that scams millions from corporations and delivers deals to legions of fellow coupon clippers. Hot on their trail is an unlikely duo — a hapless loss-prevention officer and a determined U.S. postal inspector — both looking to end their criminal enterprise.” I prefer the tighter version.] Hey, I’m just happy it brings Eleanor Shellstrop and Simone back together. I understand why you can’t have Jason and Chidi pop up, too — then it just becomes distracting — but I mean, I do need to know what Jason thinks of Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence to the Jacksonville Jaguars, so maybe she can just have a text pop up on her phone?
