The Testaments is Margaret Atwood’s 2019 sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, hence Elisabeth Moss’s presence here (Offred is not part of the new show, as far as I am aware; I also haven’t seen past season 1 of HT). Chase Infiniti therefore is following up starring in the Oscar winner for Best Picture with a super high-profile Hulu series, which is a pretty stunning starting run. It’s also more or less a first major role for Lucy Halliday. That may be why Moss and Ann Dowd (Aunt Lydia IS in The Testaments) seem casual here; they might be more versed in the slightly chiller nature of the outdoor photocall. Elisabeth’s frock is perfect. So springy and cute. You could chop off the ruffle of Chase’s Prabal  Gurung and maybe it’d feel a bit more apt for one of these? I am not sure there is any saving Lucy’s dress, which makes her look like a disembodied head attached to a minty parade float.

She fared better here:

Actually, they all look great. Chase is on quite the epic run and it turns out she’s aptly named, as it’s probably starting to feel like her life is on an infinite series of step-and-repeats. This girl has GOT to be stoked to wear ratty jeans and an old concert tee to the grocery store to buy Tide pods and English muffins.
