This is one of the most refreshing awards show wardrobe retrospectives I’ve ever done; there’s maybe one skirt in the bunch. Madigan worked with Andrew Gelwicks, who also styles Sarah Jessica Parker and Minnie Driver, and who styled Catherine O’Hara prior to her death. He sat down with Whatever Nevermind to take them through Madigan’s entire awards season, and that piece is well worth your time, but I thought this was a salient pull quote: “Part of what we’ve been trying to do is just make this fun. Award season can be very saturated and just a bombardment of carpets and photos. We find a way to infuse lightness into that.” It’s a very confident collection of looks — proving there is more than one way to dress like a winner.
