a) This was sort of a surprise event (for me! I assume Kate knew they were going to be in Belgium this weekend), and
b) If this ensemble looks familiar, it’s because Kate wore it to Charlotte’s christening, and
c) I have never liked this hat on her because it looks like a satellite dish (which is literally what I called it the last time she wore it), and
d) Overall, this look does seem appropriate for the event, and I cannot BELIEVE she didn’t wear beige shoes. It is true that wonders really will never cease.
We have lots of coverage from Kensington Palace’s social media team, as well, which gave a good sense of the event. Whoever’s running that account now is doing an excellent job. I think it’s also worth noting that this seems like a very Senior Royal duty for these two, no?
