Today, Wills and Kate (and a bunch of other people, including Boris Johnson) went to Westminster Abby for the UK Holocaust Memorial Day Commemorative Ceremony, where Wills did a reading (about his great-grandmother, Princess Alice), and then they attended a reception with survivors of the Holocaust and other genocides.

Over the weekend, Kensington Palace also released the following:

Kate and Yvonne Bernstein look like they really hit it off — they also were super chatty at today’s event, as you’ll see in the slideshow.

Jewish News also ran an article about this project, and the logistics of those portraits. I think they’re quite good. Kate has clearly been working on her portraiture. This seems like it’s going to be a very powerful exhibit; just those small tidbits about these people’s lives tear at the heart.

Kate’s dress is a re-wear — it’s Catherine Walker, and I’ve always liked it — and it seems, you know, appropriate for Holocaust remembrance event. She was not going to pop out wearing pleather leggings and a Spice Girls tee.
