I realize I might be insane, but I think this dress is kinda great? I mean, the plaid is VERY 90s — but if I learned anything from recent visits to Target, 90s plaids are BACK — but it’s very lively and pretty without being boring. The bodice is funky, and you can’t really see that in the full shot, as Domhnall is blocking the funkiest bit. So BEHOLD:
I can’t decide if that lone strap looks like a repurposed seat-belt with a fabric remnant attached at the last minute, or if it’s the bit that keeps this dress from being dull. I CAN decide that her lipstick is inarguably amazing.
