As Good As It Gets premiered 23 years ago, carrying Helen Hunt halfway to an EGOT (she won her first Mad About You Emmy in 1996). I have never in my life had a particular impression of Helen Hunt’s style, but if you had asked me, I would have conjured pretty much anything other than “underboob.” This dress is an elaborate Glamour Don’t adornment. Is it ACTUALLY sheer, or just made of stretchy and thus clingy material? Would I have been drawn to the underboob as quickly without the ribbon across her chest that makes it look like it’s tamping things down and squeezing them around? The fact remains, though: Whether this is actual underboob or the illusion thereof, it’s still 100 percent more of it from Helen Hunt than I thought I’d get when I began this week.
