If you missed the first day of this trip, you can catch up here. We have a few bits from Monday that happened after I went to press herein — including a Fair Isle sweater on Kate that I love — and then I bring you today’s events. It’s MUCH outerwear and loads of Christmas-y plaid, which I appreciate as a noted plaid/tartan lover. The Cambridges hopscotched around and ended the evening at Windsor — an excellent train station to come chugging into, I must note — where they joined like literally the entire working royal family (seriously) to thank volunteers and workers for their efforts during the pandemic. I know this wasn’t planned, but it’s very apt that this happened on the same day that the vaccine started its UK roll-out. Keep hanging on, y’all, and continue to be vigilant — we’re going to see the end of this thing.
The Queen talks to Anthony and Gillian Cotteril @salvationarmy, obviously enjoying the Christmas carols played by the band. She remarked “You’re not allowed to sing anymore [inside]” & said it was probably the only time she would get to hear carols this Christmas. pic.twitter.com/l7W1kulwBq

Someone get the Queen a record player!
We’ve got video of tonight’s shenanigans as well:
It’s a ‘Royal Family affair’ at Windsor Castle!
