The images were taken by The Duchess shortly before Princess Charlotte left for her first day of nursery at the Willcocks Nursery School.

First of all, her cozy little scarf is KILLING me. Secondly, I deeply appreciate that she brought her backpack with her (as did George for his own first day of nursery school photos; a post wherein I complained Kate didn’t pose the kids on the front steps, so HELLO KATE and thanks for listening). And this child is clearly DELIGHTED to be popping off to school and can we blame her? There are so many new people there to listen to her new ideas about unified field theory, and also different snacks.
