There were, for obvious reasons (the raging pandemic!!), far far fewer celebrities at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade this year, and indeed, the parade itself was considerably less parade-y than usual, which was the right call. (Here in Pasadena, they actually cancelled the traditional Rose Parade back in March because there was no way to responsibly build the floats or host the many marching bands, and the planning starts way in advance.)(They’re doing something virtual.) (It actually is really depressing because the parade/game brings so many people to town every year and it’s so festive and fun and our small businesses really depend on it but what can you do?) However, I will note that the celebs who DID turn out to be on floats and/or help host certainly brought out their festive best and I appreciate how much everyone is TRYING.
