When I saw the first preview for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, it didn’t use cast names, so I had no idea Keira Knightley was in it. When she popped up in the preview I was like, “Huh, I feel like I should know that person…?” Then I forgot about it until the promotion began. That seems like a mistake. Anyway, this is a fancy Disney-fied version of The Nutcracker, and it sounds… potentially terrible? The Rolling Stone review describes Morgan Freeman as “in full paycheck mode,” and Reader, I laughed. Helen Mirren — who plays Mother Ginger — didn’t even show up for this premiere, so she may agree.
