To me, her hair here screams “I just got this bob and I’m having issues wrangling my side-swept bangs,” a universal life-struggle and one of the challenges that binds us together as people. (I think it’s cute still but the issue with a haircut like this is that it’s easy for it to go News Anchor on you.) For my money, this look is a bit too much for SXSW but the issue is that NO ONE knows what level of fancy to get for this festival anymore, like, AT ALL so I can’t get that mad. She’s supposed to be excellent in the film she premiered there, a horror flick where she plays a pregnant nun — so the Madonna references here do, at least, make sense. And I love sense!
