This dress came down the runway in October. I’m of two minds about it. It’s very cutesy and youthful and seems tailor-made for a starlet like Rachel Zegler, promoting a huge Disney movie with a big ol’ bow in her hair, as she did on Kimmel:
On the other, it looks like it was made — a little hastily, too — by a tailor who just watched a movie in which a woman walked into someone’s office and ripped open her blouse, at which point they locked the door and closed the blinds, cleaned off the desk, and went at it.
I did like the Betsey Johnson shoes… when I thought they were a red plaid, thanks to the lighting (I can’t control where the Getty embed credit goes, but if you click on the pic, you’ll see). But then her stylist put up a photo in which you can tell they’re black and silver — still fun, but without the color tie-in, the idea of which I liked.
For some reason, Rachel opted against this for the actual sit-down portion of the evening:
At least she’s wearing tights, but girl, you are cheek-to-cushion on a couch that I guarantee you has never been shampooed, and it kind of looks like you’re on the toilet. Why not wear these the other way around?!?
