The British Museum threw its first-ever gala on Saturday night — ironically the very night the Academy Museum Gala took place across the pond. In the future they should REALLY try to avoid that overlap if they want to uncomplicate things and have a starrier guest list, although truth be told, they didn’t do too badly. Room for improvement.
